Obligatory payments
A.P.A. (Advance Provisioning Allowance): 30% of the charter price
To cover the following costs, but not limited to fuel for tender and water sports equipment; additional fuel for cruising (above 4 h per day), food and beverages for the Charter Party; berthing dues and other harbor charges including pilots ’fees, local taxes, divers’ fees, customs formalities, charges for waste disposal, charges for water and electricity taken from shore; shipping agents’ fees where applicable; Charter Party personal laundry; hire or purchase costs of any special equipment placed on board at the Charterer’s request, shoreside transport and excursions, national park entrances and other costs for services requested by Charter Party during the charter and all other costs not specified as included.
APA Payment Terms
The Charterer pays A.P.A. in addition to the charter fee for all relevant costs for the vessel that are not included in the charter fee. If A.P.A. does not cover complete costs, the Charterer will pay exceeding the amount on board in cash. If costs made on charter are less than the amount given as A.P.A., the amount not spent will be returned to the Charterer at the end of the voyage. A.P.A. does not include a tip for the crew.
VAT 13%: Not included in the charter rate
Non-mandatory extras
- TIPS: Tips are not included in the price of the charter and are a voluntary way of showing appreciation for a good service. Usually it is 10% to 15% of the charter price, according to your satisfaction, paid to the captain at the end of the charter and distributed equally by the captain to the rest of the crew.
- Delivery / Re-Delivery Fee: 2.500 €.

What is the total investment for a week-long charter on Alfa Mario
The total investment for your journey consists of the base charter fee, 13% VAT, and a 30% APA. Consequently, for the 2026 season, the estimated weekly rates are:
- High Season (June 16 – Sept 3): €120,000 + VAT + APA ≈ €171,600/week
- Shoulder Season (May 31 – June 15 & Sept 4 – Sept 27): €110,000 + VAT + APA ≈ €157,300/week ž
To confirm your booking, a 50% deposit is required, while the remaining balance and APA must be settled 6 to 8 weeks before your departure.
How does the 30% APA work on Alfa Mario?
The Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) functions as your personal onboard credit line to cover essential operating costs. Specifically, it encompasses fuel, gourmet catering, premium beverages, and port fees. Throughout your voyage, the Captain of Alfa Mario maintains a transparent log of all expenses. Therefore, you will receive a detailed report at the end of your trip, and any unspent funds will be refunded to you in full.
Can we customize the itinerary and service for our group?
Certainly, as Alfa Mario provides the perfect platform for a bespoke Adriatic experience with total flexibility. To ensure everything is perfect, we provide a preference questionnaire eight weeks before boarding to tailor dietary needs and celebrations. Furthermore, during the cruise, your captain will adapt the daily route based on your specific wishes and weather conditions, allowing you to discover secluded bays in complete privacy.
What are the onboard policies for connectivity and smoking?
Alfa Mario features high-speed Wi-Fi mobile internet, ensuring you stay seamlessly connected throughout your entire Adriatic journey. Regarding smoking, it is strictly prohibited in all interior areas to maintain safety and freshness; however, it is permitted in designated outdoor deck spaces. Additionally, please inform us in advance if you require a stable connection for business purposes so we can optimize the service for your specific route.
