An Unparalleled Infinity Pool and Mediterranean Garden
‘We just had a fantastic week at Villa Johanna on Brač, arranged through Exclusive Adriatic. I write this after decades of experience in the Croatian Adriatic: Villa Johanna is surely one of the two or three finest private villas on the entire Croatian coast. The Villa has several qualities that deserve enumeration. First of all, it has a stunning 22-meter-long infinity pool on the sea side, truly one of the most exceptional private pools anywhere, which we got quite used to swimming laps in right before breakfast. Secondly, in between the pool and the sea is a huge Mediterranean garden, complete with stone walkway through the trees and flowering plants that define the stunning view. The pool is surrounded by shaded and non-shaded deck chairs, take your pick, and plenty of grassy and planted spaces.’

‘Then there’s the house itself, which is outfitted with some of the most intriguing Italian designer’s furniture available, and which not only doesn’t stint in its numerous comforts (there are too many to enumerate here, but suffice it to say that the combination of modern art, fine furniture, fireplaces, cozy nooks in which to kick back and read a book, stereo systems and foosball tables and Ping-Pong tables and dining areas and outdoor kitchen — well, all of it can at first be somewhat overwhelming, but that sensation is quickly followed by what amounts to the foundational intention of the villa to begin with: relaxation).’
